Amante Corpus Feliciano, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home in Henderson, Nevada, on October 15, 2026, at age 87. Kind, caring, and joyful, he treasured laughter, adventure, and love. His warm smile and presence touched everyone who knew him, and he will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and community.
Amante was born on March 31, 1939, in Cavite City, Cavite, Philippines, to Benigno and Maria Corpus Feliciano. His adventurous spirit carried him across the Philippines, from northern Luzon to southern Mindanao and many islands in between. Inspired by the promise to “Join the Navy and see the World,” he served in the United States Navy for 20 years. After starting his career aboard aircraft carriers, he moved his family from the Philippines to Athens, Georgia; Memphis, Tennessee; Agana, Guam; Oak Harbor, Washington; Mountain View, California; and back to Olongapo City, Zambales, Philippines. After retiring, Amante and Gloria, his wife of 51 years, moved to Mountlake Terrace, Washington, before finally settling in Henderson, Nevada.
Amante was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gloria Faltiguerra Feliciano; his seven brothers, Florencio, Eufrocino, Luis, Francisco, Alejandro, Dominador, and Jose; and his two sisters, Maximina and Andrea.
Amante’s family was his greatest pride and joy. He is survived by three devoted sons and their families, who carry on his legacy of strength, kindness, and humor: Fernando and his wife, Marivic, of Lynnwood, Washington; their sons, Fernando and Ferdinan; Ferdinan’s wife, Thy; and great-grandson Jaron; Florante and his wife, Eliza, of Henderson, Nevada, and their sons, Marco, Marlon, and Marvin; and Felicito and his wife, Helen, of Las Vegas, Nevada, and their daughters, Abbygail, Allyrose, Ayshea, and Aryelle. He helped care for each of his nine grandchildren, who adored him.
As the last surviving child of Benigno and Maria, Amante became the patriarch of the extended Feliciano family. Amante celebrated his 75th, 80th, and 85th birthdays in the Philippines along with the Feliciano grand family reunions, helping more than 200 relatives stay connected. His 85th birthday reunion brought together 209 family members—a testament to their shared love.
