Anna Ruth Descher, 76, passed away on June 16, 2026 at Henderson Hospital. She was born March 7, 1950 in Loma Linda, CA to Alford and Evelyn (Thompson) Rainey. She married Scott Descher on August 24, 1974 in Hesperia, CA.
Anna grew up around Southern California and the High Desert. She was a business owner as well as a one-of-a-kind homemaker, any space you entered that had Anna’s touch was evident. She always made sure others felt cared for and included, and certainly always made sure you were fed. Her favorite things to do were relax and put her feet up, shop (she could tear up a TJ Maxx) and spend time with her family and those she loved (can’t forget her pugs!) Her kindness, caring nature, thoughtfulness, and loving self will be forever felt. She loved her people fiercely with her whole heart, to be loved by and love her is a special joy. There truly will never be the right words to describe how special Anna was to those who love her.
She is survived by her husband, Scott Descher (Boulder City, NV), her only daughter Lisa Miller (Apple Valley, CA), and her only granddaughter Bailey Alberts (Denver, CO), as well as her brother Alford Rainey (Mokelumne Hill, CA). She is preceded in death by her sister Carolyn Purkiss, her mother Evelyn Thompson, and her father Alford Rainey.
There will be no funeral or memorial service at the request of Anna herself.
