Arlene Troup, age 97 of Boulder City, NV passed away on May 16, 2020. She was born in Burt, Iowa to Clark and Anna Godden. Arlene is survived by two children, Jane Troup of Boulder City, Philip Troup of Colorado Springs, CO; five grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband, Quincy Troup and a son, Thomas Troup.
Arlene grew up on a farm in Iowa with five sisters and two brothers. When she was a young adult, she left Iowa with a friend to move to southern California. She worked at Consolidated Aircraft and met Quincy Troup, an Army Air Corp pilot. They were married April 22, 1944. Arlene and Quincy moved back to the Midwest to live until they moved to Boulder City in 1970. Quincy was a pilot with Trans World Airlines and Arlene traveled all over the world. When Quincy retired, they traveled in their motor home all over the country, stopping to pick up a grandchild or friend along the way to take them on their journey.
Arlene volunteered at Lend A Hand and St. Jude’s Ranch for children in Boulder City, two of her favorite charities. There will be no service. Family and friends can sign an online memorial guestbook at www.bouldercityfamilymortuary.com
