Boyd C Christensen

On August 23^rd, 2023, beloved husband and father, Boyd Corfield Christensen of Mesquite, NV, passed away at the age of 67.

Boyd was born in Salt Lake City, UT to Boyd and Carolyn (Corfield) Christensen.  Surviving family members include his wife of 40 years, Christie;  3 Children, Brandon (Janine), Jeremy, and Bradley; 2 grandchildren, Ava and Elliott; and siblings, Brad Christensen(Julie) and Marjorie Clark(Art).

Boyd lived for 35 years in Cheyenne, WY, making a living as a civil engineer for the Air Force where he retired after 38 years.  He also owned a successful plumbing business in Cheyenne.  After retirement, he was able to split his time between the cabin he’d been working on in Red Feathers, CO and the home he had purchased in Mesquite, NV.    

Boyd’s life was an adventure – he loved his family and friends dearly and his happiest moments (and ours) were in each other’s company.  He was a man of many passions, including: fishing, boating, golfing, fixing and riding motorcycles, Corvettes, playing with his grandchildren and being a fantastic grandfather, hunting, occasional gambling, playing card games with his kids, and the always inappropriate jokes.  He was constantly busy, always trying to solve problems, and looking for the next thing to sink his time into and learn about. 

We thank him for the great memories, laughs, lectures, wisdom, and adventures he took us on with him.  He will be missed immensely and we are blessed to have him in our lives.  He meant a lot to us, without putting it into so many words, and we love him dearly.

The service will take place at the First Baptist Church of Mesquite,830 Hafen Lane, Mesquite. Please join us for his service on Sunday, September 10, 2023, 2:00 PM. Associate Pastor Justin S. Mosher will officiate. 

After the service please join family and friends in a celebration of life at his home, 571 Kylee Ave., Mesquite, NV.,89027, at 3PM.
