Bruce Brownlow Green

Bruce Brownlow Green passed away at Mesa View Hospital, Mesquite, Nevada, in the early hours of April 9, 2026.

Jack and May Green welcomed little Bruce into the world on April 14, 1950, and raised him in Los Angeles, California alongside his sisters Gail and Jillinda.

Bruce spent the intervening nearly 75 years doing the thing that came most naturally to him - being kind. He especially loved animals, and happily provided a home - for the night or for a lifetime - to any animal he could.

Bruce was a deeply loving man, but he was also a man of many talents: a Master Brewer in Southern California for 34 years; a talented sketch artist; and cause of the most genuine belly laughs. He made friends literally everywhere he went, and he genuinely cared about all of them.

Bruce was preceded in death by his father Jack, his sister Gail, his mother Mayla, and granddaughter Mary. He is survived by his adoring wife Cathy; her daughter April, and husband James; grandchildren Anahit, Garen, and Ayden; his loving sister Jillinda and husband Norman; his niece Barbara, husband Caleb and son Atticus; and the many others who love him so.

You would be hard pressed to find someone without a kind thing to say about Bruce Green. His kindness and joy rippled through his community, and he will be deeply missed.

We love you Bruce.

Bruce will remain by his wife’s side, and will one day be interred with his parents and sister at Forrest Lawn Cemetery.
