Boulder City

Carol Sue Byrne, age 70, of Boulder City, NV passed away in the early hours of Thursday, January 27, 2022 after a courageous battle with Covid-19.  Carol was born on July 6, 1951 in Joplin, MO to Charles LeRoy Rose and Bettie Jane (Murry) Rose.  She married Mark Byrne on April 19, 2019.

Carol was influenced by her family to be a loving and caring woman, always giving her time to others and she incorporated that into her motherhood. As a mother she was generous, loving and kind. When Carol became a grandma, she was absolutely thrilled about her family growing.

In her free time, Carol loved to catch up with old friends and family through Facebook. She enjoyed boating on the lake while catching fish. Carol loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed motorsports and being a crew chief for her son. Carol recently enjoyed working with her daughter as an administrative assistant. Carol cherished her friendships new and old, often laughing with a beautiful smile on her face.

Those that had the pleasure of knowing Carol knew that she was a loving and caring person, devoted wife, mother, grandma and friend, always thinking of others. “To know her was to love her”. She will be greatly missed by her family who adored her with all of their hearts. Goodbye to a beautiful mother.

Carol is survived by her husband Mark Byrne; two children Michael (Tina) Flake, Tracy Kinder; a brother Richard (Shawn) Rose; and nine grandchildren Wyatt Hardy, Gavin Flake, Mackenzie Byrne, Drayden Flake, Charlie McMains, Taylor Byrne, Marshall Byrne, Parker Byrne and Hunter Byrne. She is preceded in death by her brother David Rose and her parents Charles and Bettie Rose.

The family will have a celebration of life at a later time. Condolences for the family may be offered online at www.bouldercityfamilymortuary.com.
