Caroline Hardy Lang

Caroline passed away on April 19, 2026. She was born June 8, 1938, in La Verkin, Utah to Elmer James Hardy and Leona Brooks Hardy. Caroline was the oldest of five children. Jane Hughes, James Hardy, Juanita Manning, and Roger Hardy.

On November 6, 1954, she married Grant A. Lang in the St. George Utah Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Soon after, they made Las Vegas their home, where they began building their house in 1960 and lived there for the rest of their life.

She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, each one meant the world to her. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, canning and crafts, and her home was filled with windchimes she collected or received as gifts. Dad and her loved to take trips, especially for their anniversaries, and collected all kinds of souvenirs which also included southwestern items. They would also pile us kids into the car and go on weekend excursions to explore places and hunt for old bottles.

Caroline will be remembered for her kindness and the way she quietly took care of people, often by bringing a meal when someone was in need. She also helped others by watching their children and treated them like her own. She had a gift for making others smile, laugh and feel loved and welcome, and even in her final days she kept her warmth and positive spirit. She had a strong and beautiful testimony and deep faith, and she often expressed gratitude for her family.

Caroline is survived by her children: Connie Rogers (Gary), Kathaleen Peters (Danny), Marie Martinez, and Kara Lang (wife of son Calvin Lang). She also leaves behind 20 grandchildren and 35 ½ great-grandchildren.

Caroline is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Grant A Lang; her son, Calvin Lang; her grandson, Travis Franklin; and her great-granddaughter, Elliana Peters. All of whom she missed and loved dearly.

Funeral services for Caroline Lang will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel located at 877 North Temple View Dr, Las Vegas, NV 89156 on Saturday, May 2, 2026. Viewing will be held from 3:00 pm – 3:45 pm, service will be from 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Graveside service will be held at the Boulder City Veterans Memorial Cemetery, on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 10:40 am. All family and friends are invited to attend both services.
