Charles Brown

Charles Arthur Brown Sr. (Chuck) was born July 20, 1946 and passed away on January 20, 2017 surrounded by his family.  Chuck is survived by his eternal sweetheart and wife of 52 years Patricia Burton Brown, his children Charles Brown Jr. (Alissa), Vena Foster (Keane), Kristina Perkins (Samuel), Matthew Brown (Jennifer), Kimberly Santarossa (Brian), 20 Grandchildren, and 9 Great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents James Brown and Wilma Twitchell Brown, his brothers Ron Brown, Richard Brown, and Bill Brown, his son Nathan Brown and Grandson Damon Brown.

Chuck was born in Salt Lake City Utah from a long line of pioneer heritage, and moved to Boulder City Nevada in 1988. Chuck was an auto mechanic for 46 years and owned and operated the well-known Foothill Auto Repair and was known as one of the most respected and honest mechanics in Boulder City.  He was well known in the wrestling community in Boulder City starting the first youth wrestling club in 1989. Being a champion wrestler himself and football and baseball star for Bingham H.S. in Utah, he also wrestled in college for Brigham Young University. His legacy continued in wrestling when his son Matt Brown took over the youth club in 2005.  Watching his sons, grandsons and great-grandsons continue to wrestle, still having 5 star wrestlers currently in Boulder City H.S., 2 grandsons and 3 great-grandsons in the youth program. He is known as the "wrestling grandpa" in Boulder City.  Chuck was a cowboy through and through known as an accomplished horseman, competing in many rodeo events.  He was also an avid hunter. Chuck was a Vietnam veteran and expert marksman. Above all Chuck was a family man, always saying that was the most important thing in life. He will be missed by many, and always loved.

Viewings will take place at the LDS church located at 916 5th Street in Boulder City, NV on Wednesday January 25th from 5pm to 7pm, and Thursday January 26th from 10am to 11am, the funeral service will directly follow at 11am. Charles Brown Sr. will be then laid to rest at the Veterans Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV on Friday January 27, 2017 at 9:20 am.  Family and friends can sign an online memorial guestbook at www.bouldercityfamilymorutary.com
