It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our devoted and loving dad Chuck.

Charles Edward Zink passed away on June 12, 2024. He was born on October 16, 1938 to Evelyn and George Zink in Benton Harbor, Michigan.

Chuck met the love of his life, Sharon Mount on a blind date. They were married three months later on January 23, 1960.

They raised three children in Long Beach, California.

Chuck served in the United States Navy from 1956 until 1959.

He had a career at a local newspaper and eventually went to work at his father‘s company Zinco machine and manufacturing. Chuck was a skilled machinist. He was a devoted, father and husband. Chuck and Sharon were married 60 years until her passing in December 2020.

Chuck loved golfing, boating, and family vacations. He loved inventing tools and gadgets. He loved living in Boulder City and being an Elk.

He is survived by his three children, Debbie, Steven and Greg; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his wife, Sharon, his father George, his mother Evelyn and his brother Roland.

Chuck’s family invites friends and family to the funeral services at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial cemetery at 10:40 AM on July 5 followed immediately by A Celebration of Life at the Boulder City Elks Lodge. Lunch will be served.
