Chol Sik LaPointe

Chol Sik LaPointe, 81, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. Chol is survived by her daughter, Linda LaPointe; her son, Harold (Howie) LaPointe, Jr.; and her grandchildren Alex LaPointe, Sebastian LaPointe, Joshua LaPointe, Chris Henson, and Sierra Henson.

Chol is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Harold George LaPointe, Sr..

Chol was born in Seoul, South Korea. She was fluent in both English and Korean and was fiercely independent. She owned and operated her own hair salon in Korea at a time when single female business owners were few and far between. After marrying, she moved to the United States and cared for her family. She had a love for martial arts and earned a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. She was an avid lover of the outdoors and enjoyed camping, clamming, crabbing, and fishing. She loved gardening - especially roses. Her deepest love was for her family. She will forever be missed.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, March 18, 2024 at 10:40AM at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada. We invite family and friends to send condolences or share memories at www.starmortuary.com.
