Dale Riddle

July 5, 1929 — July 20, 2016

Dale J Riddle, age 87, of Henderson, NV passed on July, 20, 2016 surrounded by family. He was born on July 5, 1929 in Escalante, UT to Edgar and Zona Taylor Riddle. He married Marguerite Walker on June 11, 1951 in the Salt Lake City LDS temple.

Dale worked as the principal of Gordon McCaw Elementary School and Robert Taylor Elementary School. He also taught school for many years and worked in the administrative offices of Clark County School District. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served two temple missions within his lifetime of service to others. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gold mining, and woodworking. He was an avid sports fan and loved to watch baseball and basketball, but mostly his grandchildren as they competed in sports. He also was an athlete and an excellent softball pitcher.

He is survived by his wife Marguerite Riddle; four children, Robert Riddle, Karen (Robin) Smith, Carol (Doug) Broadbent, Cheryl (Thomas) Clark; son in law Scott Lewis; a brother Cal (Gay) Riddle; a sister Loa Long; 42 grandchildren and 56 great grandchildren whom he absolutely adored. He is preceded in death by a son John Riddle; a daughter Toni Lewis.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 22, 2016 from 6 to 8 pm at the Water Street LDS Chapel, 400 S Water Street, as well as on Saturday, July 23, 2016 from 9 to 9:45am. Funeral Service will be at 10am Saturday, July 23 at the Church with burial following at Palm Mortuary (Henderson).
