David W Hester

David Wheeler Hester, age 71, of Boulder City, NV passed away on April 14, 2026. He was born in Fort Dix, NJ on September 7, 1954 to Emmett Ostell Hester and Helen Louise Chilcote Hester. He married Cynthia “Cindy” Amlee on July 12, 1975. David and Cindy moved to Boulder City in 2012 from Newbury Park, CA.

David was an avid poker player and amateur day trader and enjoyed spending time teaching anyone who would take his stock advice. His greatest love was his grandchildren and spending time with family. David worked as a painter and was very talented with his hands.

David is survived by two son s Michael (Beth) Hester of Boulder City, Mathew (Erica) Hester of Las Vegas; two granddaughters Allyson (Matthew) Kelley of Boulder City, Megan of Boulder City; two grandsons Alexander of Las Vegas, Evan of Las Vegas. He is preceded in death by his wife Cindy Hester, a brother Raymond Hester, a sister Sally and a granddaughter Ashlee Hester.
