David B. Reeves, 77, of Boulder City, Nevada, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2026, in Henderson, Nevada. He was born on October 9, 1948, in Rochester, New York, to Wesley Claude and Vivian Martha (Newton) Reeves.

David married the love of his life, Rebecca Harrington, on May 15, 1971, in Rochester, New York. Together, they shared nearly five decades of marriage and raised two daughters, Tammy (Reeves) Mooney and Penny (Reeves) Gallegos. Their daughter Tammy preceded him in death.

David proudly served his country in the United States Army for 20 years, including two tours in Vietnam. His military service was an important part of his life, reflecting the dedication, strength, and commitment that he carried with him throughout the years.

After retiring from the Army, David combined his love of travel and motorcycles by touring the country selling Harley-Davidson motorcycle merchandise. He had a lifelong passion for Harley-Davidson motorcycles and loved the freedom and adventure they represented.

David and Rebecca made their home in Laughlin, Nevada, where they spent many years together. Rebecca passed away in 2020, leaving a profound emptiness in David's life. After her passing, David moved to Boulder City to be closer to his daughter and grandchildren, who brought him great love and companionship during his later years.

David had a quiet appreciation for the simple things in life. He loved golfing, listening to audiobooks, and spending time with his family. He will be remembered for the life he lived, the places he traveled, the stories he carried with him, and most of all, for the love he had for his family.

David is survived by his sister, Jane Reeves of Rochester, New York; his daughter, Penny Gallegos, and her husband, Clarence Gallegos, of Henderson, Nevada; his son-in-law, Jason Mooney; his grandchildren, Devlin, Regis, and Meghan Mooney of Flagstaff, Arizona, and Esperanza Gallegos, Elena (Gallegos) Rivera and her husband, Julian Rivera, Elicia Gallegos, and Clarence Wesley Gallegos of Henderson, Nevada; and his great-grandchildren, Jacob, Elijah, and Esiquio.

David was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rebecca; and his daughter, Tammy.

Though David is no longer with us, his memory will live on through the family he loved, the lives he touched, and the stories that will continue to be shared for generations to come. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Funeral services and interment will be held at 9:20 a.m. on September 10, 2026, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Highway, Boulder City, Nevada 89005.
