Dominga Cooper

December 17, 1937 — April 22, 2017

On April 22, 2017, Dominga Miranda Cooper passed away due to complications resulting from a heart condition.  Dominga, Ming to her friends and family, was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in December of 1937 to Domingo Miranda and Homezella Johnson Miranda.

She met the love of her life, Robert Cooper, in 1953 and married in 1956.  Dominga spent the first 25 years of marriage as a Military Active-duty wife, supporting Robert in his Air Force career.  A wonderful homemaker, she was active in the arts, education and social organizations whilst raising their three daughters. Dominga was a very talented and skilled seamstress which ministered the success of her business, a custom bridal gown boutique in Seal Beach, CA.  In 1999, Dominga and Robert retired to Henderson, NV to enjoy each other, travel and spend time with their family.

Dominga is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Capt. Robert Cooper, USAF Ret and her three sisters, Grace Escobar, Elizabeth Peacock and Gloria Miranda.  She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Lynn Cooper, Stephanie Louise Cooper-Noe and Michele Elizabeth LoSchiavo; grandchildren, Dominga Lynn Cooper Noe, Samantha Cathlee Cooper Noe, Catherine Miranda LoSchiavo, and her only grandson, Joseph Palmer Robert LoSchiavo; her sons-in-law Timothy Krenzien, David Noe and Vincent LoSchiavo; her sister Lucia Moore and her beloved chocolate Lab, Sir Bruno Oso.
