Douglas “Craig” Stoker, age 64, passed away on Friday September 15th, 2023 surrounded by his family in Henderson, NV.  Craig was born on January 6th, 1959 in Panguitch, Utah to Douglas Stoker and Connie Gower Stoker. He married his High School sweetheart, Annette Lovell, on June 8th, 1979 in Boulder City, Nevada. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the St. George Utah Temple on June 7th, 1980.

             As a child, Craig lived with his family in Tropic, Utah until he was 3 years old and then moved to Brigham City, Utah. At age 11, he and his family moved to Boulder City, Nevada for a short time and then spent a few years living in Carson City when his dad was transferred there for work. The family moved back to Boulder City in 1974 and stayed there for the remainder of his childhood. Craig attended Boulder City High School and graduated in 1977. He then went on to complete his undergraduate education at Southern Utah University where he played basketball on a collegiate scholarship. After graduating from SUU, he and his family moved to Arlington, Virginia so that he could attend Dental school at Georgetown University. He graduated from Georgetown University with the highest GPA in his class and earned the Clinical Excellence Award. He moved back to Southern Nevada and started working as a Dentist in Henderson, Nevada. He built and worked at Stoker Family Dental for 33 years, serving the patients of the Henderson valley with his exceptional dentistry skills. He touched the lives and smiles of many with his dedication to exceptional care along with his warm, caring, and compassionate demeanor.

             Craig enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, riding horses, and all things outdoors. Some of his favorite times were spent with his sons hunting, with his family at their cabin in Utah, and camping at their annual Pine Valley family campout. He also loved serving within the community and within the LDS church community. He served as Bishop and in the Stake Presidency. He was passionate about serving the elderly and the youth in the community and spent many years serving in the scouting program and teaching seminary.

             Craig is survived by his wife, Annette; his children – Nicole (Alex) Janda, Brad (Amy) Stoker, Luke (Natalie) Stoker, Sarah (Ron) Lyster, Michael (Taylor) Stoker, and Tanner (Kenzie) Stoker; his grandchildren – Ally, Lincoln, Melissa, Hunter, Alayna, Sam, Brooke, Isaac, Logan, Will, Mack, Beau, Gracie, Callum, Hallie, Olivia, and Scarlett; his siblings - Sylvia (Albert) Denning, Mitch (Ronda) Stoker, and Kent (Tammy) Stoker. He is preceded in death by his parents – Douglas and Connie Stoker.

             Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 30th, 2023 at 11:00am at the LDS Water Street Stake Center located at 400 S. Water St. Henderson, NV 89015. There will be a family luncheon to follow. Burial services will be held that afternoon at the Boulder City Cemetery.
