Eleanor Joyce Drury

Eleanor Joyce Drury (Joy), 73, passed away on December 12, 2023, surrounded by her family in Mesquite, Nevada. She was born on January 2, 1950, in Toronto, Canada, the fourth daughter to Albert Roy Phillips and Audrey Constance (Connie) Conroy. Joy moved to the United States in the 1970’s and met the love of her life, Scott Drury.

Joy and Scott were married in 1985 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Over the next twenty years, they traveled around the U.S. for Scott’s career, making numerous friends and enjoying many adventures along the way. After living thirteen years in Lake Arrowhead, California, Joy and Scott settled in Mesquite to escape the cold and to be centrally located for all their children.

Joy was preceded in death by Scott on October 5, 2018, at which time she rekindled her passion for art. Joy took great pleasure in creating unique and meaningful drawings for family and friends, often in honor of birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions. Joy also loved reading, had a wonderful sense of humor, and left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Joy is survived by her four children Christine (Rex) McDonald, Cindy (Brendan) Wright, Rik (Dana) Drury, and Logan (TJ) Broadbent, thirteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
