Fred Crowder Jr

Deacon Fred A. Crowder, Jr. was born February 2, 1930 to Fred A. Crowder Sr., and Viola Critton of Muskogee, OK. Fred was raised in Muskogee, OK where he attended school and graduated from Manual Training School. He went on after graduation to attend Langston Uni-versity located in Oklahoma. Shortly after attending Langston he proud-ly joined the U.S. Army. Anyone who knew Deacon Crowder knew his love and dedication to the military. The Army was his first and only choice and he proudly retired as an SFC/ E7. The Army was his life until he met and married his life partner of over 39 years in September 1979, Jessie Bell Crowder. Having lived in Colorado Springs, Co. and making Las Vegas, NV his final home.

Deacon Crowder was a man of God and served on the Deacon Board for as long as his health would allow. He believed in the Word of God and often spoke to others about Christ. He enjoyed fishing, even if he failed to catch anything. He was a dog lover and even trained his own pets. Over the years he worked side by side with his wife endeavoring into a variety of crafts, including ceramic figurines. All that knew him knew he loved to joke and taunt his guest until they laughed. He joins in glory his father: Fred Crowder Sr., mother: Viola Critton-Crowder, Four siblings; Charles Bruner, Laurtine Bolden, Mary Ellen Huntley, and Gertrude “Lesa” Colby, Grandson: Terence D. Collins and Step-son: Henry F. Johnson.

He leaves behind to treasure and honor his memory: His loving wife: Jessie Bell Crowder of the home, Daughter: Tracy L. Williams (Scott) of Coweta, OK, Step-Son: Nathan Johnson, Jr. (Patti) of Rye, CO., Step-daughter: Rene’ Sharp of Las Vegas, NV.  Grandchildren: Timothy McGee of Siloam Springs, AR, Shawn McGee of Tulsa, OK, Skyler Collins of Coweta, Ok., Traci Johnson of Wash-ington D.C., Shaah Johnson of Maryland, Emmett Henry II of Las Ve-gas, NV., Gregory Henry of San Diego, CA., Derrick Sharp Jr. of Las Vegas, NV., Cameron Sharp of Las Vegas, NV.

He leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great and great-great grand-children, nieces and nephews.
