Geraldine Grothe

Geraldine Florey Grothe "Gerry" age 79, of Boulder city passed away on July 25, 2011. Gerry was born in Ft Morgan, Colorado on February 12, 1932 to Glenn and Edith Fowler Florey. She married Richard Eugene Grothe on June 16, 1958 in Downey, CA.
Gerry enjoyed painting, reading, needle point, and quilting. She had a strong faith in God and served by her husband's side in Germany, England, Colorado, Texas, and California as he served as a Chaplan for the United States Army.
She is survived by her three children Sy ( Terry) Grothe of Boulder City, NV; Glenn (Ann)Grothe of Hawaii; Melinda (Andy) McGuire of Washington; ten grandchildren, and one great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband Richard who passed away in 1988.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 29, 2011 at 10:30 am at the Grace Community Church in Boulder City, NV. A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 1, 2011 at 11:00 at Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver, CO where she will be laid to rest by her husband.
