Helen Mary Burke

Helen Mary Burke, age 73, of Mesquite, NV passed away on October 31, 2025. She was born in Dallas, TX on June 17, 1952, to Charles Francis McNally and Bobbie Margie Arnold McNally. She moved to Mesquite from Lander, WY in the early 2000’s after her husband Martin “Opie” Burke passed away. Loving the warmer year-round weather and sunshine, she made Mesquite home from there on. And would meet Rea Edward Leaver there, who she loved dancing and living a wonderful life with for the many years they had together.

Helen was a very intelligent person that would spend two hours each morning reading which sparked her inquisitive curiosity for knowledge. This made her a staunch competitor at trivia. She also enjoyed playing cards and board games. Helen and Rea enjoyed dancing, golfing and attending car shows together. Helen worked at Ace Hardware in Mesquite as an Office Manager and Bookkeeper for many years. She was a member of the Elks Lodge and the Catholic Church.

She is survived by her partner Rea Edward Leaver; daughter Jennifer (Mike Morrow) Burton; daughter in law Michele (Andrew) Leaver-Keroles; four grandchildren Adrianna Keroles, Elise Keroles, Isabel Keroles, and Olivia Keroles. Siblings Cecelia Cox, Gloria McNally and Charles McNally Jr.
