Herbert Riggle

Herbert “Herb” Riggle, 63, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away peacefully at home on September 19, 2026.

Herb was born on July 22, 1963, in Pomona, California, to James and Reba Riggle (Irvin). He grew up in Southern California and married the love of his life, Lorrie, on March 1, 1986, in Chino, California. Together they built a life centered on family and enduring love, sharing more than 40 years of marriage.

Herb was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, mentor, and friend. He began his career as a mechanic, where he developed the hands-on skills and strong work ethic that would define his professional life. His passion for boating led him into the marina industry, where he steadily advanced through leadership roles and ultimately became a General Manager. Through hard work and dedication to his profession, he earned the distinguished designation of Certified Marina Manager (CMM) and was respected for his knowledge, leadership, and commitment to excellence.

Outside of work, one of Herb's greatest passions was working on and racing his drag boat. He loved the challenge of building, improving, and competing, and he enjoyed sharing that passion with family and friends throughout his life. Whether he was rebuilding an engine, managing a marina, or tuning his drag boat for the next race, Herb approached life with determination, skill, and a willingness to help others. He took pride in a job well done and found great joy in sharing his knowledge with family and friends.

Herb is survived by his beloved wife, Lorrie Riggle; his daughter, Heidi, of Phoenix, Arizona; and his sons, James (Megan), Nathan (Sara), Troy (Traci), and Seth, all of Las Vegas, Nevada. He is also survived by his brothers, Eddie and Dale Riggle, and his sisters, Judy and Brenda Riggle.

He was a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren: Hannah and Noah, Parker, Felicity and Emmett, and Ryan, Aiden, Kaylee, and Austin. His grandchildren brought him immense joy, and he treasured the time he spent with each of them.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Reba Riggle, and his grandson, Nathan Thomas.

Herb's legacy lives on through the love of his family, the memories he created, and the dedication, perseverance, and hard work that he shared with everyone around him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Bethany Baptist Church, 210 Wyoming Street, Boulder City, Nevada 89005.

Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate Herb's life. Following the funeral service, a Celebration of Life will be held at 4470 Copley Circle, Las Vegas, Nevada 89120.
