Jack Ray Richins

Scenic, AZ

Jack Ray Richins of Monteview, Idaho passed away March 4th, 2026 in Scenic Arizona. Jack was born March 12, 1943 to Alma and Estella Richins.

It is with heavy hearts and big smiles that we remember a man who truly lived life on his own terms. Jack was a man of many trades, endless projects, and unforgettable one-liners.

Jack admired ambition. He always had a project in progress, an idea forming, or a tool in his hand. He never let any grass grow under his feet. He passed down to his kids and grandkids the importance of having a strong work ethic.

He never met a stranger. Whether it was a quick chat at the hardware store, a long conversation at the bar, or just a visit from friends and family, Jack loved exchanging knowledge. If you spent more than a few minutes with him, chances are you walked away having learned something and probably laughing at one of his perfectly timed remarks.

Jack had a tough exterior that could fool you at first. But those who knew him best understood that beneath that hard shell was a deeply caring, generous man who would help anyone in need.Jack loved his family, especially all his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a good friend to many. He built friendships that lasted decades.

He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, and neighbors whose lives were brighter because he was part of them.

Jack is survived by his children; Pam (Brian) Allen, of Kennewick WA, Angela (Gregg) White of Pueblo CO, Lori Lopez of Idaho Falls, ID, Sandy Zundel of Rigby ID, Darla (Darrel) Grebb of South Jordan UT and Tammy (Troy) Riddell of Scenic AZ. His brother, Dave(Beverly) Richins of Osgood, ID and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Steven Jensen of Monteview ID, daughter, Julie Willam’s of Casper WY, grandson, Timothy Willams of Casper WY, grandson Mike Alvey of Pueblo CO,son-in laws Bill Goody of Scenic Az and Brad Zundel of Rigby.

The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date to honor and remember Jack. Details will be shared with family and friends when arrangements are made.
