Jacquelin Sue Nowicki

Jacquelin Sue Nowicki, age 80, of Mesquite, NV passed away on May 25, 2025 at her home. She was born on April 5, 1945 in Dayton, OH to Jack Murray and Betty Davis Murray. She was raised in Vandalia and graduated from Vandalia Butler High School. Later to attend college at Bowling Green State University where she received a BS in Education. Later receiving her BSN and Masters in Nursing from the University of Toledo. She went on to work at the Medical College of Ohio as SICU Nurse. Then worked as in instructor of clinical nursing at the University of Toledo College of Nursing until retiring. Jacquelin married Lyle Edward Nowicki on March 16, 1968 in Vandalia, OH.

Jacquelin enjoyed spending time with family while they traveled across the country in their motor home. She especially enjoyed playing the guitar and singing in jam sessions and church choirs.

She is survived by her husband Lyle Nowicki of Mesquite; two children Christine Vargas of Gilbert, AZ, Beth (Mike) Schneider of Gilbert, AZ; five grandchildren Hunter Vargas, Gina Vargas, Audrey Schneider, Jack Schneider, Mickella Schneider; four great grandchildren Sophia Vargas, Sara Vargas, Urijah Vargas and Axel Vargas; a brother Lynn (Nancy) Murray. She was preceded in death by two sons Ted Nowicki, Joel Nowicki.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 10 am to 10:45 am at Mesquite Lutheran Church 450 Turtleback Road, Mesquite, NV 89005. Funeral service will start at 11 am with burial to follow at the Mesquite City Cemetery 1362 Hardy Way Mesquite, NV 89027.
