James Anthony Hansen

James Anthony Hansen, age 72, of Mesquite, NV passed away at home on April 23, 2024.  He was born in Los Angeles, California on September 22, 1951 to Robert Valdermar Hansen and Marie Wood Hansen.  He married Peggy Roberts on July 15, 2000 after a mutual friend introduced them to each other.  They moved from Northern California to Mesquite in 2014.

James (Jim) worked his way up in the hotel industry and retired at a Controller/ Financial Director.  He worked at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles and later at the Hyatt Hotel in Santa Rosa.  He enjoyed traveling.  Jim loved to socialize with family and friends including fellow members of the Elks Lodge in Mesquite. He loved driving his golf cart around the neighborhood visiting with people.  His wife and dogs brought Jim a lot of happiness.

He is survived by his wife Peggy Hansen; daughter Nicole Hansen; brother Gilbert (Maryan) Ochoa; sister Suzanne Beam and many grandchildren.  Family and friends can share memories and condolences on his tribute page at www.starmortuary.com
