Janet Carol Radunz

Janet Radunz, age 78, passed away peacefully Friday, April 3, 2026. She was born in Chicago, IL on November 23, 1947 to the parents of Florence Kulzcewski and Frank Schippits.

She spent most of her life raising her family in Illinois. Later in life moving out to Colorado and Nevada. Her love for family and friends was unmatched. She was married to Joseph Pluta for 23 years and later on married her soulmate, Robert Radunz. Her many passions included playing games with her children and grandchildren (poker, Bingo, rummy and uno), puzzle wars with her sister Flo, hummingbirds and anything Elvis related. She was a loving and accepting soul that would go out of her way to make sure everyone she knew felt safe, protected and cared for.

She is survived by her children--Ed(Kristi) Pluta, April(Dan) Frear, Dawn(Tony) Cerullo--grandchildren Arianna(Austin) Thomas, Bryann(Kelton) Fick, Kenzie(Jayce) Pluta, Giovanni(Deztiny) Cerullo, Taylor(Xander) Pacubas, Jon Doucet--great grandson Auguste Pacubas--siblings Barb Widing, Ronald Schippits, Flo(Carroll) Cockrell, Fran(John) Bennett, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceding her in death spouses--Joseph Pluta, Robert Radunz, parents-- Frank and Florence Schippits, sisters--Geraldine Raftery, Judy Dill, Marilyn Boone, Chris Strazcek, brother-- Raymond Schippits, best friend--Trudy(Glen) Boley.

Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026 6pm (pst) at Star Mortuary 900 Nevada Way, Boulder City, NV. We welcome family and friends to join us in person or online at ( ). We invite family and friends to leave condolences or memories at www.starmortuary.com

Interment will be held at a later date at Chapel Hill Cemetary, Oak Lawn, IL. She will be laid to rest peacefully next to her soulmate.
