Joan Yvonne (Anderson) Luse February 12, 1931 – August 10, 2025

Joan Yvonne (Anderson) Luse, aged 94, passed away Sunday August 10, 2025, at Mesa View Hospital in Mesquite, Nevada. She was born February 12, 1931, in Wells, Minnesota to Carl and Ruth (Graves) Anderson. Joan married Myron Jack Luse on March 9, 1949, in Wells, Minnesota.

Joan and Jack raised their family in several small towns in Southern Minnesota. They settled in Apple Valley, Minnesota where they lived for 20 years.

Joan was an excellent seamstress, and she also enjoyed playing golf, playing cards and visiting with family and friends. She was interested in music and played piano. She liked computers and was always working on her laptop. For many years, she worked as the head secretary for an elementary school. Later in life, Joan and Jack moved to Mesquite, Nevada to take advantage of the warm weather and the local entertainment.

In Mesquite, they made strong connections with their neighbors. They enjoyed celebrating birthdays and special occasions with their friends. Joan and Jack were married 76 years, a great accomplishment with lots of love and memories.

She is survived by her husband Jack, daughter Barbara (Luse) and her husband Steve Elness of Apple Valley, Minnesota, daughter Jeanne (Luse) and her husband Bill Black of Menomonie, Wisconsin, and son Robert Luse of Houston, Texas. She is also survived by grandchildren Lisa (Elness) Kiehl, Chad Elness, Sid Black, Rita (Black) Tredal and her fiancé Dan Dyer. Her great-grandchildren are Hunter Kiehl, Cade Kiehl, Evan Tredal and Cameron Tredal. She is also survived by her brother Bill Anderson and his wife Barb, and her sister

Nancy (Anderson) and her husband Greg Huth. She is proceeded in death by parents Carl and Ruth (Graves) Anderson, sister Shirley (Anderson) and her husband Joe Meurer, and her brother Don Anderson and his wife Jackie.

Funeral services were held on August 15, 2025 at Mesquite City Cemetery, 310 Hillside Dr, Mesquite, Nv 89027 where she is buried.
