Joseph J. Silla

Joseph John Silla, age 82, of Mesquite, NV passed away on July 29, 2025 surrounded by family. He was born in Sheridan, WY on May 6, 1943 to Ugo Nicholas Silla and Frances Belish Silla. He married Phyllis Ann Sorahan on July 7, 1962 in Rapid City, SD. Joseph and Ann moved to Mesquite from Castle Rock, CO five years ago.

Joseph belonged to the Knights of Columbus and was a member of the Sheridan Wyoming Elks Lodge. He grew up fishing and hunting with his father and taught his son to enjoy the outdoors as well. Joe was a natural born salesman and loved his job in contractor paint sales.

He is survived by his wife Ann Silla; a daughter Shelly Silla; a son Joseph P. and daughter in law, Jodie Silla; a sister Jeannette Wargo; four grandchildren Austin, Parker, Sheridan, Samuel and a great grandchild Zane.
