Kenneth Paul Myers

October 10, 1952 — June 11, 2025

Mesquite

Kenneth Paul Myers, age 72, passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 11, 2025 at home.

Ken was born October 10, 1952, in Okeene, OK to Paul Glen Myers and Carol Jean Gothberg.

Ken was married to the love of his life, Leesa, celebrating 50 years of marriage, raising two amazing and talented children: Carie (Chris) and Jaymes (Drew), and four grandchildren: Zachary, Alyssa, Cameron, and Alex.

Ken’s siblings include: Joseph (Kathleen) Myers, Janet Koffron, Gary (Patty Jean) Myers, and preceded in death by Paula Love; with two foster sisters: Jaelyn Wallace and Daryce Anderson.

Ken loved hunting, fishing, the outdoors, and serving as a Jr. Dragster crew chief to his son, grandson, and friends’ children. His grandchildren loved spending time with him at the arcade. Ken worked hard. He spent his work-life as a small engine mechanic and handyman, tirelessly helping neighbors and friends with carpentry, painting, tile work, repairs, or anything they needed. Ken was always busy, finding it hard for him to sit still. While this hard work and living took a toll on his body, Ken would often say, “I am doing this now because when I get older, I will not be able to do the things I enjoy.” The past few years he has enjoyed the fruit of his labor living in Mesquite surrounded by a great community enjoying playing pool with friends and time at the casino.

Ken showed his love through service to his family, friends, and neighbors. He made many sacrifices to make sure Leesa and his family were supported and had a better future. He would quietly do small things to show his love, like checking his children’s cars when they visit and snowplowing the neighbors walk in the wintertime.

Ken was always quick to make friends, and he has kept many long-term friends from Utah and incredible new friends in Mesquite.

Ken is at peace now. His body no longer is in pain, and he can breathe, run, hunt, and fish.

Ken, we love you and will miss you terribly. Until we all meet again.
