Klint Dudley Frehner, 81, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great‑grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2026, in Mesquite, Nevada, surrounded by the love of his family.
Klint was born on December 26, 1944, in the old Mesquite Hospital—now the Virgin Valley Museum—to Mary Leavitt and Fenton Frehner. The seventh of eleven children, he grew up rooted in the values of hard work, faith, service, and devotion to family, principles that shaped every chapter of his life.
On June 26, 1964, Klint married the love of his life and eternal sweetheart, Gail Marie Waite, in St. George, Utah. For 62 years, they built a home filled with love, laughter, and unwavering loyalty. Together they were blessed with five adopted children who became the center of their world.
Klint was proud to be born and raised in Mesquite, Nevada. Athletic and competitive, he loved playing for the Virgin Valley Bulldogs. After marrying Gail, they lived briefly in Cedar City, St. George, and Salt Lake City, Utah, before settling in North Las Vegas in June 1969. Klint began working at the Gypsum Plant in Blue Diamond, Nevada, where he dedicated 31 years of hard, reliable work before retiring in 2000.
A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter‑day Saints, Klint served faithfully in many callings, including Bishop, Bishop’s Counselor, Elders Quorum President, Stake Mission Leader, Stake Missionary, and Temple Worker in both the Las Vegas and St. George Temples. One of his greatest joys was serving a full‑time senior mission in Alabama alongside his sweetheart, Gail. His steady work ethic, humility, and willingness to serve were hallmarks of his character.
Klint is survived by his devoted wife, Gail; his children and their spouses—Travis (Amy), Mikelle (Rick), Cori (Zach), Michael (Crystal), and Garik (Taylor); 22 grandchildren; 17 great‑grandchildren; his sisters Lana Larkin (Derrill) and Kimi Christensen (Mark); his brothers Creed (Debbie) and Bryce (Diana); sister-in-laws Toni (Verl) Frehner, Mavis (Graeme) Frehner, Suzi (Alfred) Frehner and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings Dale and Glenna Frehner, Verl Frehner, Dorothy and Verland Thurston, Graeme Frehner, Mary Lynn and Tom Leavitt, and Alfred Frehner; and his great‑grandson, Bohdi Ronin Sena.
Klint will be remembered for his quiet strength, gentle humor, kind heart, and the unwavering love he offered so freely. His legacy lives on in the family he cherished and the countless lives he touched.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at the Littlefield Arizona LDS Chapel (Mesquite East Stake) located at 3260 East Old Highway 91, Littlefield, Arizona. A visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. PST, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. PST.
Burial will take place at Mesquite City Cemetery, 301 Hillside Drive, Mesquite, Nevada, at 1:00 p.m. PST.
