Lawrence Marion Hogan, age 66, resident of Boulder City for 23 years passed away on February 11, 2015. He was born in Portland, OR on August 2, 1948 to Donald and Norma Newland Hogan. Lawrence served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
Lawrence was a very intelligent man and consulted many people as they started businesses and specialized in the restaurant business. He loved to travel and see the world. He loved Hawaii so much he lived there for a period of time. He was a member of the Queho Posse ECV Chapter 1919 Las Vegas, NV. He was also a former member of Skal International. He was highly involved in the community and was a member of the Boulder City Sunrise Rotary, honorary member of Boulder City Noon Rotary, and served both as president and the board for the Boulder City Chamber of Commerce. He cared for people and was active in the Relay of Life. He loved to hang out and spend time with friends.
He is survived by his two daughters Heidi (Gary) Cardoza, Heather Hogan; two step daughters Katelyn Bradford, Kirstyn Bradford; a brother Danny (Janet) Hogan; two sisters Cathy (Ken) LaFord, Donna (Dan) Peters; and six grandchildren Jared Govia, Tessa Govia, Emma Buckwalter, Sophie Buckwalter and Brylee Bradford.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery 1900 Veterans Memorial Dr Boulder City, NV 89005. Family and friends can sign an online memorial guestbook at www.bouldercityfamilymortuary.com
