Lee Epperson, age 93, of Ely, Nevada passed away on March 19, 2023 in Mesquite, Nevada. He was born on December 31, 1929 in Gem, Idaho to John Walter Epperson and Nellie Potts Epperson. He lived in Ely since the early 1970’s. He owned and operated Epperson Construction and built many homes in Ely.

 

Lee served his country as a young man in the United States Army. While living in Idaho he married Charlene Schraft. Together they had Pam, Christi, Rhonda and Andy. After the two divorced Lee married Lois Pridemore in Nevada. They divorced and he later married Sally Gallegos. Lee and Sally had one child, Lee Jr. They divorced and Lee being an adventurous soul decided to marry one more time. He married Helen Wright and together they enjoyed many years together. Lee was an industrious, hardworking man, who wore many hats from bartender to judge. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors, he was very mechanical and loved to restore boats and work with his backhoe. Lee looked for the best in everyone. He believed in giving people second chances and was a friend to many. Lee was quick to smile and loved to joke. 

 

Lee is survived by his wife Helen Epperson they were married in Ely on December 24, 1999. He is also survived by four of his children, Pamela Epperson, Rhonda Egusquiza, Andrew Epperson, Lee JR Epperson; stepchildren, Bonnie, Shanny, Betty, Chris, Wesley, Tony, Wendy, Shelly, Merlyn; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Christi, brother Floyd and sister Louise. 

 

In June family will be holding a celebration of life in Ely. Family and friends are invited to leave memories or condolences.
