Luis Alires

Luis Salomon Alires, age 72, of Twin Falls, ID and Las Vegas, NV passed away on January 27, 2022 at the Veterans Hospital in North Las Vegas, NV. Luis was born on December 18, 1949 in Kingman, Arizona, but was raised in Henderson and Las Vegas, Nevada.  He was a Rancho High School graduate.  Luis served three tours in Vietnam with the United States Naval Construction Battalion as a proud Seabee. After his service, Luis attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo studying architectural engineering and became a structural and civil engineer. He married Marie Serdel on June 26, 1982 in Grand Junction, MI.

Luis is survived by four children, Michael, James, Tomas, and Alexander and their spouses together with four sisters, three brothers, and seven grandchildren.

Family will have a visitation on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 from 9:15 am to 10:15 am at Boulder City Family Mortuary. Funeral and burial services to follow at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 10:40 am.
