Malinda Ann (Linda) Jones Byrne Adams was born on February 1, 1943 in Iowa City, Iowa to Vera Mae Jones and Adrian Delmas Brown Lanstrum. She was raised by her grandparents, Charles H and Minnie Mae Jones in Pershing, Iowa.

Her mother married Elmer Foster and she moved with them to many places across the country. She went to 18 different schools before she graduated in Overton, Nevada in June of 1961.  She moved with her parents to the Gashills in Wyoming, where she met her first husband Lorin Byrne, they were married December 30, 1961 in Driggs, Idaho. They later moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where they had two sons, Shane A Byrne and Harold M Byrne.  Malinda and Lorin divorced in 1986. She later married James R Adams on April 16, 1988 in Las Vegas, Nevada.  She worked for the Clark County School District for 27 years, retiring in 2003.  After retirement she and James moved to Fredonia, AZ they lived there until 2011 then moved back to Mesquite, NV so they could be closer to their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She will be cremated and will go back to Iowa to be buried or scattered by her grandparents graves in Pershing, Iowa.  Her favorite quote from her Uncle Warren, “You can take the girl out of Iowa but you can not take the Iowa out of the girl.”

Linda leaves behind, two sons, Shane and his wife Cathy and Harold Michael; and the love of her life her grandson Colin Michael.  Also her husband James and his three children, Robert (Ellen) Adams, Cindy (Steve) Thurston and James (Charotte) Adams; nine step grandchildren and many step great grandchildren.  All of them she loved like her own.
