Marion Tittle

Marion C. Tittle of Boulder City, Nevada died on January 27, 2017, due to natural causes.  Marion (Chormann) Tittle was born on January 27, 1931 in Wyandotte, Michigan to Frederick and Anna Chormann.  Marion was raised in Adrian, Michigan and graduated from Adrian High School in 1948 as an honor student, and scholarship recipient to Adrian College.  She married Robert L. Tittle, of Gaylord, Michigan, in 1953 and three sons were born of that marriage; Jay R of South Pasadena, California; Dan Charles of Grand Junction, Colorado; and Kris Alan of Rio Rancho, New Mexico.  The family resided in Michigan until moving to California in 1961. In 1994 they moved to their chosen retirement locale, Boulder City, Nevada.

Marion continued to pursue her college education following the move to California, and graduated from the University of Redlands, Redlands, California with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business with a major in Accounting.  She then attended UCLA in Los Angeles earning her Professional Designation in Personal Financial Planning (PFP), followed by achieving her designation as an Enrolled Agent (EA), authorized to practice before the Internal Revenue Service.  She owned a practice as an Accountant and Income Tax Professional in California from 1974 to 1994: and from then, in Nevada until 2013. Marion and Bob were Square Dancers and Round Dancers for several years and, avid dancers in Choreographed Ballroom Dance over many years. In 2002, they traveled to Iowa to attend a crowded Glenn Miller Festival Dance weekend where they were awarded the ‘2nd place trophy for their jive dancing to ‘In The Mood’.

They also enjoyed RV travels and activities beginning with their sons’ growing-up years and on throughout their lives until Bob’s death. Marion and Bob were active members of Grace Community Church in Boulder City where she had served on the Board of Directors as Assistant Treasurer, Treasurer, and also on the Finance Commission as Church Budget Analyst for several years.

Marion was preceded in death in 2008 by Robert L. Tittle, her beloved husband of 55 years. Also

preceding her in death were her Dad (1961) and her Mother (2004), also; brother Clarence; and sisters Florence, Ethel, Betty, and Dorothy.

In addition to her three treasured sons, Marion is survived by her four special grandchildren: Kevin M. Tittle and PFC Sean M. Tittle (USMC), sons of Jay; Christine R. Tittle, daughter of Dan; and Kenneth A. Tittle, son of Kris. She is also survived by siblings Irene Wilcox, Richard (Carolyn) Chormann all in Michigan; and, William (Dottie) Chormann in Illinois and her three special daughters-in-law: Leslie Tittle of California, Shannon Tittle of Colorado, and Eva Lueck-Tittle of California.

It was Marion’s wish to be cremated and, therefore, there will be a Memorial Service at Grace Community Church in Boulder City, Nevada on March 25th at 11:00 a.m.  Family and friends can sign an online memorial guestbook at www.bouldercityfamilymortuary.com
