Marjorie (Midge) Ziegenhagen, 88, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023 at home surrounded by family. She was born on March 26, 1935 in Nobles Township, MN to Walter and Lucille McCall. She married Charles Ziegenhagen on July 11, 1953 in Worthington, MN.
Growing up Marjorie lived in many places throughout the Midwest, her family traveling for her father, Walter McCall’s, work. After she was married, her and Charles moved to Oregon in 1953, then a year later moved to Washington state for a short time before they moved to California in 1956. After being in Orange County for a few years, they moved to Buena Park, CA in 1963 where they raised their six children. Their final move was to Henderson, NV in 1998 to be near family.
Marjorie’s life was her family, her house was always filled with the company of friends and family. This remained true throughout her lifetime. She loved to have get-togethers and celebrations at her home. Family and friends were always welcome.
She is preceded in death by her parents Walter and Lucille McCall, her brother Stephen McCall, her sister Carole Dailey, her husband Charles Ziegenhagen and her daughter Teresa Larson.
Marjorie is survived by her two sisters Joan Yonkman and Mary Kleier, her four daughters Karen Chisum, Janet (Randall) Carr, Margaret Ziegenhagen, Rebecca (Gregory) Fowler, her son Charles (Wendy) Ziegenhagen, her 10 grandchildren Christina Larson, Renee Alejo, Angela Chisum, Meghan Chisum, Stephanie Yamaguchi, Stacy Carr, Gregory Fowler, Danielle Fowler, Kayla Ziegenhagen, Kassidi Ziegenhagen and her 20 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 1900 Veterans Drive in Boulder City, NV. Interment will immediately follow at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery where she will be interred with her husband. The family will be holding a private gathering in Henderson for a celebration of life for Marjorie.
