Marvin R. Ferdina of Mesquite, NV passed away October 20, 2026. Marvin was born and raised in Wolf Point, MT. He was a farmer/rancher; his specialty was raising wheat. He retired to Mesquite, NV in 2007 and enjoyed 18 years of wonderful retirement. He got to explore the mountains, the valleys, the desert and the mesas in the surrounding area on his 4-wheeler. He moved to Nevada to get away from the cold, cold Montana winters. His favorite story was "You haven't lived until you have fed cattle at 56 degrees below zero!" Nevada provided him with many days of sunshine.
In September of 1982, he married Judy Pickthorn and they shared 44 wonderful years together.
His greatest accomplishment was when he went to Albert Lee Treatment Center to learn how to live life alcohol free. He had a deep belief in God and with Him he maintained 45 years of sobriety.
Marvin is survived by his wife, Judy; brother Ralph {Christy}; and three nieces, Wendy, Jill and Jana.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Marie Ferdina and his nephew, Jay Ferdina. He will be remembered for his wonderful story telling and his beautiful blue eyes.
At his request, there will be no services. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Mesquite Lutheran Church, 450
Turtleback Road, Mesquite, NV 89027.
