Mary Blanch Hopper

Mary Blanch Hopper, 86, of Mesquite, Nevada, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026. Surrounded by her husband and children.

She was born October 14, 1939, in Gunnison, Colorado to Leno Medrano and Lucille Grace Livingston Medrano 3 minutes prior to her twin brother Bill.

In her early years she lived in Gunnison, Denver, Nucla, and Paradox, Colorado. The majority of her years she lived in Moab, Utah where she raised her children. She had great compassion for life and was always happy and smiling. She loved baking, hiking, camping and April Fool's Day jokes.

She married her love, Raymond Hopper, on September 10, 2005, in Montrose, Colorado. Together they lived in Orchard Mesa, CO, Grand Junction, CO, Price, UT, and Mesquite, NV. Her later interests were reading, watching old westerns, and the Casino.

Her greatest joy came from spending time with her children and grandchildren. The laughter, jokes, and memories will always be cherished.

Mary is survived by her husband of 21 years, Raymond Hopper, her children, Jerry (JoAnne) Clift, Lynn Higginson, Frank (Keri) Talbert, and daughter-in-law Beth Young (Larry Ray Clift). Her grandchildren, Cortney (Brady) Blake, Clayton (Brittany) Higginson, Amanda (Travis) Crowson, Jared Clift, Jason (Hitomi) Clift, Shane Clift, Austin (Trysten) Talbert, Breanna Talbert and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, her son, Larry Ray Clift, her sisters, Mary Lou (Alvin) Elliott, Muriel Medrano, her brothers, Spencer Medrano, Junior (Jackie) Medrano, Ralph Medrano, and Bill (Lea) Medrano.
