Miles Alan Buker

Miles Alan Buker of Mesquite, NV, age 70, passed away on October 6, 2023, in his home in Mesquite. He was born on December 14, 1952, in Marysville, Ohio, to Fred M. Buker, and Nellie Elizabeth Seymour. He married Ronda J. Naugle (Buker) in Mount Union, PA on November 2, 1996.

He was raised in Marysville Ohio, the youngest of 7 children. In his late teens, he moved to Prescott, AZ, with his mother and father. He soon moved to Phoenix, AZ, and shortly after enlisted in the United States Air Force. After serving his term, he returned to Arizona where he met Ronda. They married and settled in Mesa, AZ, with their children Samantha R. Baker and Nelson R. Baker. Miles loved to cook, read and listen to music. He enjoyed western and action movies. He was always happy to spend time with family and friends. Maggie, his dog, was his companion; they shared such a special bond. He adored her and spoiled her to no end. Miles earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Phoenix. He worked for Motorola, General Dynamics and then landed a career at the Phoenix Police Department in an IT Project Manager role. Miles stayed with the Phoenix Police Department until he retired.

He is survived by Samantha Rose Frye and Drew Frye, who reside in Chandler, AZ, with their two children Oaklee Cheyenne Frye and Walker Nelson Frye. Miles has one sister, L. Jerri Combs, who resides in Marysville, OH. He has two brothers, Clarence L. Buker who lives in Mesquite, NV and Bruce E. Buker who lives in Mesa, AZ. Preceded in death by Joy L. Brake (2019), Carol A. Buker (2018), Bud F. Buker (2015) and Nelson R. Baker (2013).

Funeral services will be on October 21, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Star Mortuary, 300 Riverside Road Mesquite, NV 89027.
