Myra Ann Denison, 76, of Henderson, NV, passed away on July 21, 2023. She was born on November 18, 1946, in Ogden, Utah, and spent her childhood in Spokane, Washington. Myra was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, known for her fun-loving spirit and outgoing personality. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Myra is survived by her devoted spouse, Donald, and their children, Eric, Donna, and Walt. She was also a beloved sister to Cheryl Hull and mother-in-law to Michelle and Monica. Myra adored her five grandchildren, Riley, Alyssa, Audrey, Joshua, and Madalyn. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Helen Engel.

Myra was a dedicated elementary school teacher for 26 years, shaping the minds of countless students. She attended Eastern Washington State University and the University of Nevada Las Vegas, earning a bachelor’s and master’s degree in education.

Outside of her career, Myra enjoyed traveling the world, volunteering in her grandchildren’s classrooms, playing tennis, participating in Bunco, and spending quality time with her cherished grandchildren. She found great joy in her family’s laughter, events, and milestones.

A memorial service in honor of Myra will be held at the Southern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, NV on September 15th at 8:40 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations of books and supplies to be made to your local elementary school, as education was a cause close to Myra's heart.
