Pat is survived by son Paul (Kelly) Townsend of Sparks, Nevada, daughter in law Shannon (Townsend) Murphy of Henderson, Nevada. Grandchildren; Andrew Scott Townsend (Hawthorne, NV), Kourtney (Joey) Arterburn (Sparks, NV), Katelyn Townsend (Sparks, NV), and Aubrey Hayden Townsend (Las Vegas, NV). Great Grandchildren; Talon Townsend, Stetson Townsend and Sagelynne Townsend (Hawthorne, NV), Kingsley Ann Arterburn (Sparks, NV). Sisters; Sylvia Ellison (Gilbert, AZ), Roselinda Arrendale (Folsom, CA). Brothers; Bill (Cathi) Arrendale (Elizabeth, CO), Jim (Trudy) Arrendale (Henderson, NV), Rene (Diana) Arrendale (Reno, NV). Pat is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, James Roy Townsend, Sr., son James Roy Townsend, Jr. and brother Charles Arrendale.
Pat was a devote Christian, a faithful servant of our Heavenly Father and the spiritual leader in her family. Pat filled her life loving and caring for her entire family, all which adored her. She was known for her infectious laugh and enthusiastic cheering at sporting events. Pat’s siblings nicknamed her “Sarge” for her strong, commanding, and protective personality. She had a wonderfully successful career selling real estate with her brother Jim “Along Valle Verde” in the Green Valley portion of Henderson. She was an excellent athlete, loved the outdoors, and an avid hunter and fisherman. Pats quiet moments were filled with reading scripture, devotionals and studying the Bible. She also entertained herself reading thriller novels and watching professional sports, a loyal LA Dodger, and KC Chief fan. Pats favorite place was in the kitchen, cooking or baking her favorite dishes for the family.
Pat was truly a one-of-a-kind treasure and will be missed dearly. Her legacy of love, faith and laughter will live on forever.
