Mesquite

Rachael Ochoa Parker, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on April 29, 2025, in Mesquite, Nevada. She was 63 years old.

Rachel was born on January 15, 1962, in Del Rio, Texas, to Maria Trevino Ochoa and Jose Ochoa. She grew up in Del Rio and graduated from Del Rio High School with the Class of 1981. In 1986, she married the love of her life, Edward Parker, and together they shared nearly 39 wonderful years.

Rachel devoted more than two decades to her work as a dialysis technician, where her compassion and dedication touched the lives of many. She and Ed raised their four children in Del Rio before moving to Manteca, California. After their children were grown, they retired to Mesquite, Nevada, to enjoy their next chapter together.

Rachel had a deep love for the outdoors and found joy in traveling and spending time with her family. She especially treasured time with her grandchildren and was always proud to boast about her victories over Ed at the bowling alley.

Rachel is survived by her devoted husband, Edward Parker of Mesquite, Nevada; her children: Luke Parker (Tina) of North Las Vegas, Nevada; Melissa Krippene (Barry) of Ripon, California; Serena Corl (Jeremy) of Nampa, Idaho; and Cassie Mondragon (Ben) of Empire, California. She was a proud grandmother to six grandchildren—Dominic (Yoana), Drake, Derek, Alex, Emery, and Travis—and a great-grandmother to Santiago Krippene.

She is also survived by her siblings: Margarita Escobar (Joe) of San Antonio, Texas; Elvira Noyola (Jaime) of Brownsville, Texas; Hector Ochoa of Del Rio, Texas; Ruben Ochoa (Sylvia) of Del Rio, Texas; and Doroteo Ochoa (Irma) of Del Rio, Texas. Rachel leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Rachel was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Maria Ochoa, and her brothers, Jose Eli Ochoa and Mario Ochoa.

A memorial service to celebrate Rachel’s life will be announced at a later date. Friends and family are invited to share memories and condolences at www.starmortuary.com
