Jeannine Harris

Apr 1, 1934 — Aug 19, 2026

Santa Clara, UT

Rhoda “Jeannine” Reber Harris age 92 of Santa Clara, Utah passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Ivins, Utah to Leo Frei and Tessie Graf Reber. She was one of nine children, six sisters and two brothers and spent her childhood in Santa Clara.

She was a woman who knew the meaning of hard work. In her youth, Jeannine spent countless hours in the beautiful garden that her father lovingly cultivated to provide for his family.

In high school she played softball and was the catcher for her sister Ruth, who was the pitcher. She was a lifelong lover of music and theater and passed that love and legacy on to her children and grandchildren.

She met Bob while he was serving in the military and was stationed at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas. A curly blonde-haired, blue eyed boy from Memphis Tennessee stole her heart. They married in April 1952 in Las Vegas and were later sealed in the St. George Temple.

Jeannine was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. A great disciple of Christ serving missions with her loving husband in Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Malaysia, South Chicago, Albuquerque, New Mexico and Adam-ondi-Ahman. She loved to do genealogy and was always serving others. Her greatest passion was her family and she cherished the time spent with them, especially singing songs, and playing games together. Her love, faith, service, and devotion to her family will be remembered and treasured by all who knew her.

She is survived by her sister, Ruth Esplin, six children, Michael (Carol Sue), Judy (Steve), Ruth (Charlie), Mark (Christina), Anna (Mark), Robert (Shelley); 18 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 1 on the way, 9 great great grandchildren with 1 more on the way. She is preceded in death by her husband Bob, son Randy and daughter-in-law Conni Jo, her parents and 7 siblings.

Jeannine was blessed to pass in the home her and Bob built in 1985 in Santa Clara. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the 17th Ward Relief Society for their dedicated service for the last several years. We would also like to thank Dixie Home for their kind and compassionate care during her final chapter.
