Richard Joseph Delong

Richard J. DeLong, passed away on February 14, 2026 after a short illness. He was born on October 8, 1955 in Soda Springs, Idaho to James J. and Elsina Peterson DeLong. In 1984 he married Billie McClintic and they had 42 wonderful years together. Richard was a lineman and worked for 46 years for Utah Power, Pacific Corp., and Rocky Mt. Power. 

He is survived by his wife Billie, Sons; Joe R. DeLong, Jason M. Shepherd, Jeff A. Shepherd. He is also survived by his siblings Lucetta Holt (Kelly), Les DeLong (Alice) and Mike DeLong, as well as many nieces and nephews.
