Richard Diamond

Richard Keahukai Diamond, age 71, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on September 7, 2011. Richard was born on April 7, 1940 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Herman Keahukai Diamond and Maria Souza Diamond. Richard had lived in Las Vegas for the past 14 years moving here from Hawaii. He served in the United States Air Forces. He married Charlene Puanani Cruz on February 14, 1974 in Pearl City, HI.

Richard was man that played an impact on many children's lives threw coaching and counseling troubled teens. He was a coach and mentor for Pop Warner Football, worked with the canoe clubs at Mililani High School and the Na Opio High School Canoe Association. He loved woodworking, billiards, drag racing, and canoeing. He helped build the Hokulea. He had a strong faith in God and was a member of the Shrine of the Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.

Richard is survived by his wife Charlene Diamond; children Richard (Valerie) Diamond, Daryl (LaFronda) Diamond, Robert Howard, David Howard, Shane (Pakalana) Diamond, Jeannie (Richard) Dulemba, Samantha (Russell) Pahukoa, Jason William Diamond; many grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a daughter Leilani Malia Diamond.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 11:00 at the Boulder City Family Mortuary. Family will welcome friends from 10:00 to 12:00 noon.
