Santa Clara

Robert Brinson Harris “Bob” age 94 of Santa Clara, UT passed away peacefully on March 27, 2026. He was born in Memphis, TN on July 15, 1931 to Harold Augustus and Bessie Belle Lee Harris. He was the youngest of 6 children. Bob served in the United States Air Force and was a proud veteran. He met Rhoda Jeannine Reber and they married on April 17, 1952 in Las Vegas and were later sealed in the St George Temple.

Bob had unmatched enthusiasm for life and truly savored every moment. It was at his California gas station where he honed his skills and became an exceptional mechanic while he and his sons cheered on the Bay Area teams. He was a volunteer fireman, loved his occupation as a river rafting guide and was the acting manager for the Grand Canyon River Operations for Tour West. He served as Mayor of Fredonia, AZ for 9 years. He had a love of all sports; playing football and baseball for Dixie College; cheering on his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in all their endeavors. Bob was a huge fan of BYU, where he graduated and received his Bachelor’s degree. His passion for life came with a great sense of humor and he truly loved to make people laugh. Bob was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, a great disciple of Christ serving missions with his faithful wife in Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Malaysia, South Chicago, Albuquerque, NM, and Adam-ondi-Ahman. He loved to do genealogy and had indexed over 1.3 million names. His greatest passion was his family and he loved spending time with them telling stories and playing games.

He is survived by his wife Jeannine; six children Michael (Carol Sue), Judy (Steve), Ruth (Charlie), Mark (Christina), Anna (Mark), Robert (Shelly); 18 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren with 1 more on the way. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, a son Randy, and a daughter in law Conni Jo.

In the final years of his life, Bob resided at the Southern Utah Veterans Home (SUVH). The family would like to extend special thanks to the SUVH staff and Dixie Hospice for their kind and compassionate care to our father. We would also like to thank Jeannine’s Relief Society for providing service and meals that allowed her to remain in her home and Patty Ward for transportation to visit him daily. Additional gratitude to Star Mortuary for their wonderful care and support.
