Robert John Krause

Robert John Krause passed away peacefully on May 18, 2026, with his family by his side, following complications of cancer. He had just turned 62.

Bob was born on May 5, 1964, in Lincoln Park, Michigan to Robert F. Krause and Teresa (Wroblewski) Krause. He graduated from Lincoln Park HS and continued his education at Henry Ford Community College, where he earned a degree in HVAC. In the mid ‘80s, he moved to Boulder City, Nevada, where he sought warmer weather and lived with his grandparents, John and Helen Krause, while he established his own business, Krause’s Air Conditioning Service. He was a master of his trade, and he built his success on honesty and integrity. Bob met his wife, Darlene, and stepson, Greg, in 1988, and they welcomed their son, Corey, in 1991 on his 27th birthday. They were married on May 20, 1995, and their daughter, Alyssa, was born later that year.

He was a very talented guitarist and performed in various bands. He had a passion for boating and bought his first boat when he was 18. He loved to go boating with friends on Lake Mead, Lake Havasu, and his favorite, Torch Lake in Michigan. Bob was also passionate about fishing, traveling to fish in Alaska, Utah, and throughout Michigan. He loved classic muscle cars and owned several, including a 1968 Cutlass 442.

Bob is survived by his wife, Darlene, to whom he was married for 31 years; son Corey; stepson Greg Whitson (Kate); two granddaughters, Haisley and Isabella; his brother, Michael Krause (Sharon); and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Alyssa, and his parents.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, the 26th, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Calvary Chapel located at 1000 Nevada Way, Boulder City, Nevada 89005. A family ceremony will follow at 12:00 noon.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Boulder City Elks Lodge, located at 1217 Boulder City Parkway, Boulder City, Nevada 89005.
