And we thought 2020 sucked…

On January 1, 2021, Bob Noxon, “same forwards, backwards, and upside down”, passed unexpectedly in the arms of his loving wife.

Bob was born December 12, 1949 in Omaha, Nebraska.  All his life, he loved being outdoors which was one of his many passions. After high school, he joined the Air Force where he served as a para-rescuer, which allowed him to fulfill his dream of seeing the world.  Following his military service, Bob realized that the only thing he was more passionate about than being in the mountains was his family.  A love that he transmitted to his children and grandchildren.

Bob was the happiest person you could ever hope to meet, with a smile that could light up an entire county, not just a room.  When you asked him how he was doing his trademark response was, “if I were any better, I’d be triplets.”  A phrase that admittedly confused the hell out of several of his kids.  He was also remarkably intelligent, a veritable treasure trove of facts and knowledge, as well as a human GPS.

Bob’s children and grandchildren, who affectionately called him Baba, were his greatest joy, surpassed only by the love he had for his wife.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Jerri Ann, his 12 children, 2 bonus children, 17 grandchildren, and 3 sisters.

Bob was welcomed into heaven with open arms by his parents, Anna and LeRoy, brothers David and Michael, son David, and twin grandsons Benson & Lincoln.

We love you, Baba.  You left us too soon - we all believed you when you said you were going to live to be 120.  You left a hole that will never be filled, but we know you are watching over us and we cannot wait for the day where we can go hiking with you in heaven.

Due to the current health conditions the world is experiencing the memorial services will be limited to immediate family only.  In lieu of flowers, go hug your loved ones and tell them how much they mean to you – that is what Bob would have wanted.
