Robert W Samuelson

November 11, 1944 — November 16, 2025

Mesquite

Robert “Bob” Samuelson passed away peacefully on November 16, 2025, in Mesquite, Nevada, surrounded by love, music, and family. Born on November 11, 1944, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Bob was the youngest of four children and the cherished son of Violet Marie Benson Samuelson.

In 1963 Bob met the love of his life Vickie Scow and the two were married on May, 8, 1964, beginning 61 years of partnership, devotion, adventure, and unwavering love. He then enlisted into the United States Army in October 1964.

Together they welcomed a daughter Robin Lyn and 2 years later a son Travis Wade. As a family of four, they built a lifetime of memories camping, hiking, fishing, and traveling in their well-loved truck and camper, affectionately known as Kermit.’

Bob worked for Western Electric and later for Delta Air Lines, where he formed lifelong friendships and was admired for his steady work ethic, loyalty, and humor. Beyond work, Bob lived his passions boldly. He loved classic cars, the car culture, and the community that came with it.

Whether showing off his 1964 Chevelle Malibu or cruising in Rock n’ Roll Fantasy, the 49’ Ford, he was fully in his element. He was a proud member of the Son of Satan Car Club, where he was loved, respected, and celebrated for his genuine spirit and unforgettable presence.

Bob is preceded in death by his mother, Violet Marie Benson Samuelson; siblings Jim Samuelson, Violet Marie Samuels, and Marion Rogers; and his grandson-son-in-law Travis Brown.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Vickie Samuelson; his children Robin (Ray) Cabrera and Travis (SharaDawn) Samuelson; grandchildren Chimere, Dustyn, and Cody; five adored great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

His legacy is woven into every memory, every story, and every life he touched– and it will continue to live on through the family he loved, the friendships he cherished, and the adventures that made him who he was.
