Rodney Wade Marshall, 69, passed away on August 27, 2025 suddenly. He was born to Robert M. & Norma Rae (Jorgenson) Marshall on August 14, 1956, and was raised in Roosevelt, UT.


He attended Roosevelt High School. Class of '74, and joined the Army immediately leaving school, serving in Germany. He drove truck with his brother, and settled in Mesquite in 1978. He worked at Western Village, learning to deal, and was proficient at all table games. He also worked construction and was good at all kinds of handyman work.


He went back to dealing, becoming an assistant shift boss at the Oasis, and left there to work at the Eureka, where he became a shift boss in the pit after dealing for a few years. He retired in 2022, and began working part time at Conestoga, as a groundskeeper. He regularly donated to Wounded Warriors, as a DAV, and St Jude.

He loved being outside, taking care of the yard, gambling on occasion, but preferred being at home with his wife and 3 dogs, Linus, Charlie, and Pepper.


He is survived by his wife, Amy (Griffin) Marshall, his children, Robert Marshall, and Nicci (Marshall) Gomez, and stepchildren, Samantha (Reese) Snyder, James (Cami) Lee, Michael Lee, Daniel Lee, David (Hannah) Lee, Steven Lee, and Rachel (David) Parker, as well as two sisters, Norma Rae Cutter, Merline Folks, and a brother, Robert Marshall.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Tabetha Joan Marshall.

He was a proud grandpa to 20 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
