Rolyntria Earlene Collings passed away on Friday, January 2, 2025, in St. George, Utah. She was born on February 1, 1976, in New Orleans, Louisiana, and was 48 years old.

Rolyntria was a true gentle lady of the South who deeply loved New Orleans. Though her upbringing in Louisiana was unstable, it shaped her into a resilient and hardworking woman. She was molded by the strong women in her life—especially her mother and her two grandmothers—who taught her to love God and to live virtuously. From a young age, she worked many hours and held multiple jobs to care for herself, always determined to move forward. She pursued her education with dedication and studied for a time at Tulane University in New Orleans.

She loved her family and her friends, but above all, Rolyntria had a deep and abiding love for Jesus Christ. She bore a strong testimony of His divinity and of His plan of salvation for all. As a young girl, she traveled throughout her city with Bible boards in hand, joyfully sharing the message of the Savior. Her life radiated love, kindness, and gratitude—qualities deeply felt by all who knew her. She was dearly loved within her community.

Rolyntria was an unapologetic advocate and faithful warrior for her Savior, Jesus Christ, and His gospel. She was raised Baptist and later Pentecostal, and later in life became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she fell deeply in love with the plan of salvation. She was sealed to her sweetheart, Eric Lee Collings, on October 23, 2021, in the Brigham City Utah Temple.

She had a magnetic personality that naturally drew people to her, especially children, who were drawn to her warmth, gentleness, and loving spirit.

Rolyntria is survived by her brothers Quian North, Johnell North, and Obie Davis; her sisters Shirelle North, Monique Davis Sylve, Rella Love, and Becky Davis; her father Kevin Davis and stepmother Linda Davis; her father-in-law and mother-in-law Elnora Mitton and Lee R. Collings; her sister-in-law Mary Ann Collings; and her beloved sweetheart, Eric Lee Collings.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather Joseph Davis; her grandmothers Gloria Davis and Luvinia North; and her mother, Leola North.

Eric shares these words in remembrance: “My angel has flown away to heaven, but she’s leaving a light on for me.”

In lieu of flowers, Eric has kindly requested donations to help cover the costs of funeral services and interment. Rolyntria’s final resting place will be with the Collings family in Brigham City, Utah.
