Sarah Perez, age 51, life-long resident of Boulder City, NV passed away on January 8, 2017. She was born in San Fernando, CA on October 2, 1965 to Rojelio and Eloisa Gonzalez Ybarra. She graduated from Boulder City High School in 1982. She married Michael Perez on February 3, 1990 in Las Vegas, NV.
Sarah was a very compassionate and caring person. She worked at a number of nursing facilities including Boulder City Hospital and the Nevada State Veterans Home. She also worked for Clark County Parks & Recreation as a heavy equipment operator and was highly skilled with the equipment. She enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, reading mystery, and Family Trips to California and New Mexico. Family was a huge part of her life; she loved to watch her daughter, Amanda play softball, spending time with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She enjoyed cooking amazing meals (biscuits and gravy) (Chili Beans) and goodies (Chocolate Chip cookies) and Chocolate Cake.
Sarah is survived by her husband Michael Perez; three children Shanon (William) Wolven, Kile Perez, Amanda (Michael) Rodgers; six grandchildren Jakob, Cole, Mason, Travis, Abby, Riley; her parents Rojelio and Eloisa Ybarra; sister Marie Elena Boquist; two brothers Thomas Ybarra and Daniel Ybarra and multiple nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 12:00 noon at the Christian Center 571 Adams Blvd Boulder City, NV 89005. Pastor Robert Nicek will be conducting and pallbearers Thomas Ybarra, Daniel Ybarra, David Gonzalez, John Ybarra, Kile Perez and Luke Gonzalez. Burial will follow the service at the Boulder City Cemetery. Following the Burial will be a short reception back at the Christian Center.
